3. The Alcoholocaust - On The Fucking Ground | THE ALCOHOLOCAUST quite possibly the best band in the world, started as a conversation in a jeep with no radio between chunx (guitar) and mikeaholocaust on the way to west virginia in 07. a few short weeks later kenny banger (bass) was approached and joined, after a drunken impromptu improvised jam at the shooting gallery the three of us booked our first show before we had our drummer. at one of tommy gutless' PBR Punk Rock Nites at Howlers kenny banger introduced mikeaholocaust to 16 tons of fuck quite posssibly the best drummer ever. a year and a half and about 100 shows later here we are. mike is healing super fast after his accident and with every next show we are out to push it as hard, loud, in yer face and out of control as possible. so to those that love us we are damn close to one hundred percent, to those that hate us look out cuz were goddamn near one fucking hundred percent. look out for us around your town as we prepare for the road, if you blink you'll miss it. |

5. The Weird Paul Rock Band - Murder Garage | Weird Paul Petroskey is one good lookin' S.O.B. But more importantly, he writes the damn catchiest songs. Paul began releasing his own cassettes in the late 80's. In 1991, Homestead Records released "Lo Fidelity, Hi Anxiety", Paul's now hard to find cult classic CD. Since then, Paul is back to releasing his own albums, including his latest, MEDICALLY NECESSARY. Currently, having written or co-written almost 600 songs, Paul has about 20 albums worth of music available for purchase (see weirdpaulmusic.com). On APRIL 21, 2006, the new hour-long documentary on Weird Paul - Weird Paul, A Lo Fidelity Documentary - by Chicago filmmaker Stacey Goldschmidt - showed at the Harris Theater in downtown Pittsburgh (See the trailer at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muup |

6. The Four Roses - Old Shep II | The Four Roses play country-style music in the tradition of greats such as Dick Curless, Stonewall Jackson, Red Sovine, and Johnny Russell. Singer, Virgil Rose, writes songs about things like drinking because his wife left him for his best friend, drinking because he was in a horrible industrial accident, drinking because he was left behind when the rapture came, and also songs about his devotion to the Lord. |

7. Bezour Monsior - Graveyard Pants | Bezour Mosour (spelled differently with every release) is Jonathan Dowling and Laura K Hughes. Jon plays guitar and sings, Laura plays drums and does more of the singing. No website, no releases and very few songs. You can see Laura's handywork at http://lilbunni.etsy.com |
| 8. Marvin Dioxide - 40° 27°N,79°,57°W | The story of Marvin Dioxide is relatively simple. They met as small children on the set of a Car Dealership ad (CenturyIII Chevrolet Lebanon Church Rd Pittsburgh), after being successfully transformed into wonderful, angelic little singers. Any hope of remaining angelic little singers for life was crushed, however, by the horrors of puberty. Literally, crushed, when a very large boulder fell on the band. Amazingly, the band vowed to remain a major source of rock, EVEN WITH THE LOSS OF THOSE ANGELIC VOCALS. Fast Forward to 2005: Rapidly remaining a major source of rock. 10. We Are the Seahorses - Pedro and the Hulkster...and Micheal Myers | "I'm not sure how we got this profile, but we're using it now. I also don't know who came up with "nightmarish glam band", but I'm pretty sure it's been used in print somewhere. We certainly didn't come up with it. We never have anything to say about our band. We like what we do and that's why we do it. If you like it too, then that's great. Have fun with it. If you don't like it, that's awesome. Have fun with it. Our band is almost 4 years old now and we've been playing shows together since the summer of 2005. Please listen to our songs and come to see our shows. " |

13. The Seeing Eyeballs - Cambodian Circus | " The band sounds out its vision with a loose-fitting, hard-hitting approach to noisemaking. Dave Halloran strikes the skins and the keys (and sometimes the vocal chords) while Kevin Happe and Jack Mullen make fair trade of the guitar, bass and singing duties, stirring up a heady froth of bluesy, porch-lit storytelling and psychedelic sidewalk rock." - ANDREW MCKEON |

15. Dave Bernabo - First Haunt | "I have played in a number of Pittsburgh bands starting with Boxstep (Overcoat Recordings) when I was 19. From there, Greg Cislon and I started Vale and Year, who released 8 records over four years. After that, I put out four solo records on Sort Of Records and created some new bands. Assembly is my solo band vehicle. DBL D is quartet of improvising musicians - drummer Owl Barns, guitarist Josh Beyer, myself, and baritone saxophonist Brandon Masterman. I also perform in a quartet with voice artist Eden McNutt, violinist Ben Harris, and flautist Kerrith Livengood. Variations of all these ensembles happen with regularity." |

17. Smut Project - Renegade | Beat-to-hell, thrift store guitars and so much attitude they run the risk of being a tabloid cover story... It's The Smut Project! |

18. The Gothees - Bela Lagosi's Dead | The Gothees are an entertaining and eclectic mix of performers-cum-musicians who have a unique and often perverse way of slanting the dominant paradigm of rock/pop music or something along those lines. Their music may be best described as an unsettling mixture of '60s pop distilled with a hint of '80s influences topped with a slight pinch of the punk aesthetic. Imagine the bubblegum pop tunes of The Monkees and The Archies interpreted by The Velvet Underground with Ian Curtis of Joy Division as lead vocalist ... really. |

21. Ma Fuckers - Disco Dance Party | 'I went to one of P Diddy's parties. I was having a wonderful time until a group of Diddy's bodyguards forcibly led me to an underground laboratory run by robot men! I was shackled to a table. P Diddy then entered the room to the tune of "Bad Boy For Life". He pulled down my pants and started sucking my dick! I came on his face... at that point he called to one of his robots. The robot approached Diddy and suctioned my semen from his face. It was then deposited into a test tube. Diddy then ordered the robot to hook up my penis to tubes so as to extract the rest of my semen. Diddy then told me to never speak of this to no body. He then masturbated on himself and walked away. I was freed and walked back up to the party escorted by two robots including biggie smalls!!!! What a crazy night! I could never believe it ! Amazing!" |

22. Fobidden Five - Baby I'm No Good | .......the songs are straightforward frankenpunk workouts with ghoulishly humorous lyrics and touches of distorted surf-guitar runs. The exceptions to this formula are among the album's most welcome diversions, such as the instrumental, Fang Boner, and the Kinky R&B of Slice and Dice......... -Aaron Jentzen Pittsburgh City Paper . . . . . A 5 piece rock n roll outfit from the sick South Hills of Pittsburgh with a dangerous obssession for 'B' horror movies. Call it garage, call it punk, or call it psycho-rock, The F5 sound is simple, raw and rockin. Look out for CHOP YOU UP!...the debut album from Forbidden 5. |
